I'm 22 years old, and live in upstate NY.
I initially attended Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Bio/Pre-Med. But that all went to hell.. I'm currently just doing school part time, and plan to transfer to finish my B.S. and then apply to vet school..
I work at a veterinarian's office. So if you here me rambling about stupid owners, my family dog, Abby (who I rightfully stole), my brother's dog, Caspian, or my bunny, Lucas... well it's because I am abnormally obsessed. I love animals, all kinds. Feel free to ask me whatever you want on the topic, I can't guarantee that I'll know the answer, but I'll definately point you to someone who does.

I've played three major sports: Soccer, Volleyball, and Softball. I've also gotten into horseback riding, indoor rock climbing, and believe it or not - marksmenship. I was involved with Army ROTC for a while, and shockingly enough, I guess I kick ass with guns. I'm very pro-gun control, I do not own any guns... but that doesn't mean I'm not interested in them *in a safe way*.
One of those things. Found some software, gave it a go... the rest is history. I'm the kind of person who always thought up music vids in my head, while listening to the radio or whatever, but never realized I could do anything with it.
I have no friggin' idea. Really. I couldn't dare try to put together a tutorial, because I don't really know what I do. What I can say is that the music is very important. More often than not, I have to find music to fit the topic/subject matter... before I even begin to come up with an approach. A preview can take anywhere from one day to two weeks to complete. If it takes longer than that, it's because I'm not working on it all the time. A music video takes much longer... that's because I loathe music vids that consist of long, unedited scenes that are set to the vidder's own choice of music. I like vidding because I like *editing*. So when I make a music vid, I want it to be just as intricate and just as complicated as a preview... but longer, and much cooler. So if a difficult preview takes a week, and its a minute long... a three and a half minute music vid could take a month, get it?

Bittorrent is my savior. The clips I cut myself, from downloaded eps. Just use google to find sites, its a great source for downloading.. not only TV shows, but music, movies, software, games, ect. I also rip my DVDs to make clips for my own use. Most of the prevew music I use is from movie scores. Hans Zimmer, Craig Armstrong, Graeme Revell, John Williams, Robert Duncan (who scored S7 of BtVS), Randy Edelman, Trevor Rabin and Thomas Newman. I cannot promote enough E.S. Posthumus. Buy their CD. Its amazing, and you'll recognize their music from movie trailers. They're friggin' amazing, I adore them. All my vid details (next to the download link) have the info about the vid... what song I use, the file size/length.... However, if there's a song you cannot find, contact me, and I'll either give you a tip or set something up (*not* on this site though). For the record... some of the music I use is not commercially available. If you can't find it on a file-sharing network, or iTunes, or whatever... drop me a line. I'll try to help.
Yes. But.... and there's always a but, I cannot say how long it will be til they are put up. In fact, I can't even guarantee that I'll make them.... but I'm always willing to hear idea. Dante's Prayer was a suggested vid which I was more than happy to bring to life. The only reason why I don't make every single vid I can is because I have to be passionate about it. I have to be.... interested in what I'm working on.... otherwise I get bored way too quickly and either the vid is never finished, or not done well. My lack of interest does not mean its not a good idea... only that its not something I can empathize with or put my heart into.
I'm not a fan of AU (alternate universe) vids. As in slash, or making my own "story"..... That doesn't mean that I don't enjoy some out there, nor that I won't ever make one... only that if I do - it will be a rare occurence.
